INDEBT (2018) is a cultural destination and non-profit organization dedicated to ‘creating spaces’, both conceptual and physical, while actively bridging cultural divides.

The fluid project manifests itself through an exhibition program, communal gatherings, and the facilitation of cultural locations throughout the city.

In both its organizational structure as well as curatorial selection, INDEBT aims to rethink conventions and expectations in the art world and broader creative field.

Coming from a place of self-initiation and urgency, INDEBT strives to generate a lasting positive impact, leaving the world a better place than we found it.

Gallery Ellipsis’ take over of Indebt’s space:

Due to unforeseen circumstances Gallery Ellipsis, an autonomous art space for unestablished artists in central Amsterdam, had to close its doors before the end of November. After having presented over one hundred artists over the past months within their exciting curatorial program, the following exhibition, Millennial Burnout, was intended to be the final show at their temporary space. Instead it was now hosted by Indebt.

An exhibition featuring work by Jonathan Aldenberg (NL), Simon Marsiglia (SE), Philip Coyne (UK), Aaron McLaughlin (UK), Maria Nolla Mateos (ES), Bin Koh (KR) and Tomasz Skibicki (PL/DE).
